Established in 2010 as a project of the Oakland Tribune, Oakland Voices is a program of the Robert C. Maynard Institute for Journalism Education, a nonprofit dedicated to dismantling systemic racism in news and building institutions of belonging. Maynard Institute is a registered 501(c)(3).
