How would you describe Oakland to a person who has never been here?

Oakland has a history and cultural, political, social, and economic diversity, Oakland is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the United States.

When you live in Oakland and interact with its residents, you feel a warm social feeling, full of vitality and happiness despite the difficult economic conditions everyone has suffered from since COVID-19.

I asked people in Oakland, how would you describe Oakland to someone who has never been here?

Oakland has some extremely high highs and some extremely low lows, but overall it’s a wonderful place to be.

It’s one of a kind, you get a sense of the culture is very unique. You see the and the different people who have made Oakland their home. It’s almost all cultures mixed into one. Never a dull moment.
