Brandy Collins will be at Outside Lands as an Oakland Voices correspondent to cover what it’s like to attend Outside Lands as a longtime Outside Lands attendee, Bay Area native, and Oaklander.

Outside Lands, the Bay Area’s biggest music festival, is back this year during Halloween weekend from Friday, October 29 through Sunday, October 31. This year in the return after a tumultuous 18 months; organizers are spreading events well beyond the sold out three day festival into Oakland and across San Francisco.
Outside Lands in its 13 years in San Francisco’s Golden Gate park has attracted visitors and musicians from all around the world. Some concert-goers were fortunate enough to hold on to passes from the cancelled event from 2019 and snag passes to this year’s event.
This year Oakland native Kehlani is taking the Sutro stage on Sunday at 8:20pm as one of the closing acts, but she is not the only artist that claims the Bay Area as their base on the roster. We combed through the lineup of artists playing at the Outside Lands and night shows for artists who have called the Bay Area home.
