Oakland Voices Correspondent Markaya Spikes asked Oakland residents, "What do you love most about Oakland?

“What do you love most about Oakland?”

“The thing that I love about Oakland is that its accepting. So I’ve made it my home. I love the people in Oakland who bring a wide range of diversity to my life. I love it. Oakland is such a beautiful city with all of its historical sites that I have been hearing so much about, I can’t wait until Im able to see every one of them.”

The thing I love about Oakland is this is the place I was born and raised. I haven’t been anywhere else and I wouldn’t want to leave Oakland. I also love that my grandparents came to Oakland from Texas to settle and have a family. I just love Oakland.
