Oakland Voices trains people who live, work, play, and pray in Oakland to tell authentic local news stories about their communities, and we publish your work on our platforms. Established in 2010 as a project of the Oakland Tribune, Oakland Voices is a program of the Robert C. Maynard Institute for Journalism Education, a nonprofit dedicated to dismantling systemic racism in news and building institutions of belonging. Maynard Institute is a registered 501(c)(3).
